![]() If they live life as a good slave, then maybe they will move up a caste in their next life. They have a brutal caste system where the Bottom caste eat literal trash in a twisted Communist style sharing society where the lowest caste get scraps because they were reincarnated as poor people because they were ♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the previous life, and everybody is supposed to treat them like ♥♥♥♥. They are a collection of warring tribes barely held together out of necessity. They are arguably the worst faction in the game. Instead, they took the noble savages trope and flipped it upside down (made them literally have monarchy like Europeans). If obsidian was going woke, this would be the good faction of noble savages who defend the land from the evil colonialist, who have a utopia society with nothing wrong. Theres always bad things and good things about every faction. Just like most obsidian games, they never make a right or wrong faction, a good or evil faction. As a leader, she's overall less competent than the initial leader in every way, her only attraction really being not accepting slavery. She's a far worse leader as she has no order or plan, she just wants anarchy. Then there's the alternative leader to the principi, who is a woman. The queen and leader of the huana is shown as weak and barely able to hold together her kingdom. Of the 4 main factions, 2 of them are led by men and 2 by female. I would say that maybe this feel strange because ,normally, fantasy world had been inspired by our past, in particular middle age, so strong female character were really uncommon ( character like queen elisabeth of jeanne d'arc are the exceptions not the rule in our hystory) The lore is always consistent and well written. Probably it's felt like this by some because there are ( between many realms, species, and kingdoms) some culture that are matriarchal but they are similar to real cultures that you can find in pacific islands in the real world some way. So in one of the Dev Updates, 13 I believe, we were told that there would be deeper companion relationships in Deadfire than in PIllars 1, and that we could forge friendships, rivalries, and even love My question is, by love, do you think they mean actual romance like kissy-kissy, or just a ver. I would say there are stupid between the both of sexes in the game without problem ( really a lot of stupid people). True there are many female characters that have power ( like head of family, owner of banks or royalty) but so are the men. I haven't actually played the game so if I'm wrong about the game making all the men idiots tell me I would of rather of had a rpg game based on lore and gameplay, not modern day propaganda that jumps on the hollywood bandwagon to make men look stupid where people define themselves by their sexuality to virtue signal rather then I don't know, explore dungeons and unravel a cool plot or something. Originally posted by Doomerang:But is it not true that all the men are incompetent and all the woman npc's save the day and that they don't dare to make a female character have flaws? I'm not trying to trash the game, I'm just asking if that's true but this game seems to have a reputation about being feminist first and good game second.
